Newspapers across the world had the same headline Sunday morning. News stations have had constant coverage of the same event since Thursday. People have filled churches and attended candlelight vigils all in honor of one man - Pope John Paul II, the Holy Father of the Catholic Church.

The Pope's health dramatically declined Thursday night and the world held its breath until 9:37 p.m. in Vatican City, 1:37 p.m. Central Time, when Pope John Paul II's miraculous life ended.

The tremendous media coverage of Pope John Paul's life the few days leading to his death and those following until his burial have taught the world who this man was and what kind of hope he brought to Catholic people.

Followers have claimed John Paul as being one of the most influential popes of all time. Many say that he had a connection with Catholic people unlike anyone else. People would travel thousands of miles just to be in the same room as him.

Pope John Paul touched many people's lives, including non-Catholics'. He was a role model in living a faithful life. He taught people about faith and its importance.

He even inspired non-Christians through his focus of giving to others. He taught people to respect one another and to love each other, no matter who they are.

Although he was the Holy Father of the Catholic Church, all people can learn a lesson or two from his inspirational life. He was more than just a man of faith. He was a man of dignity, honor, leadership, hope, prosperity and love. His death has affected us all, because we have seen the impact one man can have on the world.

And although many believed it was time for him to go, people everywhere felt a touch of sadness in their hearts when the headlines said that one of the most beloved men is no longer alive.

It doesn't matter what type of faith you have, or if you have one at all - it is still hard to see such a wonderful life come to an end. His death has become an inspiration to everyone of the life they could and should lead.
