Skorseth heads national association of agencies

Ken Skorseth, program manager of the South Dakota Local Technical Assistance Program has assumed the office of president of the National Local Technical Assistance Program Association. SD LTAP is housed in the College of Engineering at SDSU.

SDSU pharmacy faculty member elected to national board

South Dakota State University faculty member Tom Johnson has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists. Johnson, professor of pharmacy practice in the College of Pharmacy at SDSU, will begin his three-year term on the 12-member board June, 2011.

Mortar Board chapter recognized nationally

South Dakota State University’s Mortar Board chapter, Sigma Lambda Sigma, was recognized for its achievements this summer at the 2010 Mortar Board National Conference held in Chicago the end of July. Sigma Lambda Sigma was one of 77 chartered collegiate chapter winners receiving the Silver Torch Award. Across the nation 238 chapters competed for the award.

Dawkins named SDSU September Employee of the Month

Rodney Dawkins has been named September Career Service Employee of the Month at South Dakota State University. A reception in his honor will be held Tuesday, Sept., 21, in room 214 of the Pugsley Center from 10 to 11 p.m. SDSU President David Chicoine will make a presentation at 10:30 p.m.
