Getting hammered in Mexico

Yes, I got hammered in Mexico. Not only that, but I got hammered right in the middle of the day. Maybe I should explain. You see, a bunch of us went to Juarez during Christmas break. Actually, it was a group from here at SDSU and a group from Oklahoma State.

This past December we saw the last installment of one of the grandest stories produced in the annals of human literature. The story, “The Lord of the Rings” is the story of Frodo, Sam, a ring, a King and the struggle of good against evil. A great part about story and films, amidst the action and special effects, is the story of each character and the part they play in the quest.

Bible story shows ‘outrageous love’

How do you picture God? Do you picture him kind and generous? Do you picture him as a parent who has always loved you deeply , even when you had left him and were far from home? One of the greatest stories that Jesus ever told involved a father and a son.

We must find love beyond mere sex

This past semester our Bible study has been centered around “Hard Questions.” Interestingly enough, the night we were dealing with the topic of premarital sex was the night before the Collegian’s article on Love and Sex came out. I thought it was very interesting and we used some of the issues brought up in the article to discuss in our studies.
