I saw the comment about snow removal, and thought it unjust. We try to clear most entry ways before we end our shift at 6:00am. Due to staff shortages some things get missed. I’m sure the custodial folks would appreciate a positive remark now and then, instead of the negitive remarks we hear so often. As you know at times it is still snowing after we leave, and with all the sand and water in buildings, some times its very hard to balance out cleaning up in side and keeping up with every thing out side. I just read the comment on snow removal on campus. I work for Physical Plant Custodial Services and it is part of our responsibility to do some of the snow removal. I would like to let students know that our custodians work from 10:00pm til 6:00 am and some times we get snow after our crews go home. There-fore it’s impossible for us to get it all shoveled off before classes start in the morning (especially if it’s still snowing.) We do what we can, along with our various other tasks, and some times with crew shortages, it looks as though we don’t shovel. I just want all of you to realize that our crews work very hard to see that building entrances are cleared of snow. I think some of the folks I work with would appreciate a positive word now and then, instead of negitive comments. They work very hard cleaning up sand that is tracked in and do what they can with snow removal. Thanks. Sue PondCustodial Services
