Baseball team gains hard fought wins

The SDSU men’s baseball team played against the University of South Dakota. The Jacks split the North Central Conference doubleheader, winning the first game 4-2 before USD won the nitecap with a score of 5-1. The teams finished with the 2-2 split overall.

SDSU baseball team finds offensive groove, nabs two on road

The SDSU baseball team is finally back on track after two wins this past weekend in Sioux City, Iowa on Saturday and Sunday. SDSU played Briar Cliff and St. Scholastica on Saturday winning both games with scores of 9-4 and 17-4. Greg Geary had a homer in each game and went 4-for-9 with six RBIs.

Jacks baseball challenged on early spring road trip, struggle to 1-9 mark

The SDSU baseball team traveled again to Missouri for this weekend’s games. The first game the team played was on Friday against Emporia State at the MIAA Challenge Tournament in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Jacks ended up losing the game, ending with a score of 13-9.

SDSU baseball off to 1-7 start

The South Dakota State University baseball team was runner-up at the North Central Conference last year and is already off to a challenging start. The team’s first game of the season was originally set for March 3 but got postponed because of the weather.

Swimmers end season strong

The SDSU men’s and women’s teams got their conference meet off to a good start on Thursday at the North Central Conference meet in Grand Forks, N.D. Sam Kezar placed eighth in the 3-meter diving competition, with a total score of 254.05 points for 11 dives.

Swimmers lose tough road meets

The SDSU men’s and women’s swimming teams didn’t come away with a victory in Mankato this past weekend, but there is one more chance to get their best times in before the season comes to an end. On the men’s side, SDSU lost by 117-95 ending the season with a 1-5 record.

Ladies dominate Vikings, go to 19-0

The SDSU women’s team enters February with thoughts of spring and championships on their mind. Thursday, the Jacks took a step toward those goals beating the Augustana Viking, 74-54. The Jacks are still ranked No.1 in the NCAA Division II basketball with a perfect record of 19-0 and 8-0 in the North Central Conference.

UND invite breaks down into dual

The South Dakota State University swim team traveled to Grand Forks, North Dakota this past weekend to compete in the University of North Dakota Invitational. With some cancellations and schedule changes, the invitational ended up being dual for SDSU and UND.
