Finding ways to improve SDSU and make it more energy efficient - and therefore more "green" - is an ongoing process that SDSU's Facilities and Services Department works towards.

Robert Milbrandt, the Energy Conservation Engineer at SDSU, said his job is to implement the university's planned projects as they come through or to propose new ones as they study the buildings and find things that need upgrading.

The Issue: SDSU has made progress to change multiple facets of campus and its overall mindset under the leadership of President Chicoine. Our View: Chicoine ushered in these advancements during his first year, but more steps need to be taken. SDSU's President David Chicoine has plenty of reasons to be proud of his first year.

I am sitting down to write my last column for The Collegian. Ever.?It felt like this day would never come. I suppose I could be cliché and write about all the mixture of feelings that are hitting me-the realization that I'm done with college, that I'm going to be moving away, that I'm done with this part of my life.

Numbers and complex solutions fuel me. I crave mind-boggling formulas and mathematical theories. I go where Pythagoras, Des Cartes and Pascal abound. These are the reasons I love the engineering profession.

I never liked the teaching profession. When mom advised me to get a degree in education and be a teacher, I retorted in complete disagreement, "Send me to an engineering school, and I'd make you proud!"

In my country, pursuing a degree in education is the cheapest and the easiest in town.

Since the meager age of three, I have known to look both ways before crossing a street. My mother used to take my hand in hers, tell me to look left, then right, ensuring no cars came from any direction prior to crossing. Now, at age 25, I no longer need my mom to hold my hand.

All that the commitment required was to put a plan in place to decrease our carbon footprint within the next two years, along with a goal of decreasing emissions in 40 years.

Marshall is mostly remembered for his embarrassing moment against the San Francisco 49ers where he recovered a fumble and proceeded to run the ball into his own end zone, which cost his team two points. What people seem to forget, though, are his 127 career sacks and his record of starting 282 straight games.

Upon more research, I noticed that de Torres was also in a band called Danger Radio out of Seattle. Although the music is far more upbeat then the acoustics of TSA, I fell in love with this band as well.
