Local comedian raises money for Autism Speaks

On Friday, Sept. 23, comedian and comedy promoter Brian Abrahamson will be hosting a walk to raise money for Autism Speaks at the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls.

“We just found out that my son, Noah, who is almost 4 years old is autistic,” Abrahamson said.

“Noah’s Ark Comedy is named after him. He is an inspiration to me and my business. He has a great spirit and I want to do everything I can to help raise money.”

Noah’s Ark Mall Walk for Autism Speaks will start at 6 p.m. and end around 8 p.m. Those walking will meet at the food court, and participants will walk around the mall and raise money. Door prizes will be given to walkers and even bigger door prizes will be given to those who donate the most money. Abrahamson says he’s gotten numerous sponsors at the mall.

Abrahamson hopes to raise $12,000. If you would like to donate, walk or sponsor, please contact Brian Abrahamson at noahsarkcomedy@gmail.com. You can also locate the event page through http://www.facebook.com/noahsarkcomedy.
