I have seen the strong connection between Brookings and SDSU; what is good for one is good for the other.I fully support the development of the campus and the expansion of research at State. There has been a trend to shift the cost of the education more and more onto the student to bear.We need to take a serious look at halting this shifting of cost.
I believe faculty raises should be decided by the Regents and local presidents because they best understand the needs of the university. By continuing the freeze it can only hurt us in retaining the good professors and staff.
I have been involved for years on working for issues that benefit SDSU and have helped lobby in Pierre for them.If we approach the issues as partners it only improves our chances of accomplishing more.I firmly believe in the mission of SDSU and of its importance to our students futures and the future of our entire state. Go Jacks!
