Production at SDSU portrays pioneer women in medicine


Linda Kelley, a professional actress from Boston, Mass., will portray Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first women doctor to graduate from medical school, in a one-woman show called “A Lady Alone,” presented at the South Dakota State University Volstroff Ballroom at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14.

Also making an appearance in “A Lady Alone” is Dr. Margaret Hegge, director of the nursing accelerated program in Sioux Falls, who plays Florence Nightingale.
