Sorenson raises bar for future wrestlers

Women’s tennis boasts some success in Vegas
The SDSU women’s tennis team kicked off its 2010 Summit League season by taking part in a two-day, three-match cluster in Las Vegas over the weekend. On March 19, the Jacks started the day with a 7-0 sweep of Centenary with No. 2-5 singles winning 6-0, 6-0 and No. 1 and 2 doubles winning 8-0.
Historic season ends in heartbreak
The strength of the Jackrabbits led them back into the ballgame; their weakness drove them out. SDSU, finishing the season at 22-11, shrunk a 13-point halftime deficit to seven with just under four minutes using effective and alternating defensive schemes, but the Jacks failed to convert on the offensive end, losing 68-57 to third-seeded Oklahoma in Norman, Okla., on March 21.
Transition from coal plant toward clean energy necessary for greatness

Impressive construction on our campus, like the new dorms and Innovation Campus, shows that we are building for the future. Moving to Division I athletics is ambitious and rewarding, and to accommodate the needs of Division I football, a feasibility study is underway to explore how to improve and expand Coughlin Alumni Stadium.
