On a beautiful Greek island, a girl is working on planning the perfect wedding, but one thing is missing: her father. The musical MAMMA MIA! was recently performed at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls.
Jackrabbits run past Illinois State, remain undefeated
The Jackrabbit defense finally surrendered a touchdown, but it was the SDSU offense that stole the show. On Sept. 26, the Jacks (3-0, 2-0) jumped out to a 21-10 halftime lead and cruised to a 38-17 victory over Illinois State (1-3, 0-1) in Normal, Ill. During the second quarter, the Jacks found themselves trailing for the first time all year after Illinois State’s Chris Garrett returned a Ryan Crawford interception for a touchdown.
Volleyball sweeps pair of conference foes
In the longest home match in at least a dozen years, the SDSU women’s volleyball team pulled off a dramatic comeback on Sept. 25 to defeat Western Illinois in five sets (25-20, 24-26, 24-26, 25-23, 15-12). After winning the first set, the Jacks let the next two slip away.
Soccer downs Mary before conference play begins
The women’s soccer team was coming off its highest point-scoring total of the year when they downed Mary (N.D.) 4-0 on Sept. 23 at Fishback Soccer Park.
Jenkins leads Jacks at Cleveland State
The Jackrabbits’ second-round struggles continued as the men’s golf team fell from fourth to finish in 10th place at the rain-shortened Cleveland State Invitational. SDSU squandered a solid first round to shoot a 637, 39 strokes back of tournament winner and NAIA powerhouse Malone College.
Jackrabbits struggle against tough competition at Griak
The men’s cross country team was the victim of good competition at the Roy Griak Invitational in Falcon Heights, Minn. Greg Vollmer led the Jacks with a 54th-place finish in a time of 24:06 in the 8k race. Teammate Marshall Kambestad took 69th place in a time of 26:40.
