The House bill that would have allowed concealed weapons on the campuses of South Dakota’s public universities has died in committee. HB 1257 was deferred to the 41st legislative day by the House Education Committee on Feb. 18. The committee voted 11-3 to effectively kill the bill. Former SDSU student Mitch Fargen voted Yea to stop the measure.
