Sharp-shooting Eagles down Jacks
Coming on the heels of a Summit League opening win against Centenary, the SDSU men’s basketball team was defeated by Oral Roberts 85-76 Dec. 6 at Frost Arena. SDSU never held the lead in the game due in large part to 57 percent shooting from Oral Roberts, their best performance since March of 2006.

The Jackrabbit men and women’s indoor track teams are looking to improve on last year’s strong finishes and prove they are a force to be reckoned with. Both men and women’s track teams are coming off a top-five finish at last year’s Summit League meet and are looking for a better finish at this year’s indoor meet.

Before the Oral Roberts/SDSU women’s basketball match-up, Jacks’ head coach Aaron Johnston was given a basketball to celebrate his 200th win. Johnston retuned the favor by giving his players liberty with the ball before the match-up. Two days earlier, a game ball used at Frost Arena made news for an entirely different reason. The Centenary/SDSU women’s game, which was officiated by Phil Streit, Mary Toberman and Zac Brost, had a men’s basketball instead of the standard women’s basketball.
