Cal Poly Mustangs look to run over the Jackrabbits under CAS lights
The SDSU Jackrabbits will take on the Cal Poly Mustangs on Oct. 18 in Coughlin-Alumni Stadium. Quarterbacks: CPU senior Jonathan Daily leads the offense for the Mustangs. Daily has thrown for 854 yards and eight touchdowns through four games. For the Jacks, Ryan Berry leads the offense with 1,722 yards passing on the year and nine touchdowns.
Nagy bares his soles to support needy feet
SDSU men’s head basketball coach Scott Nagy will coach barefoot on Jan. 23, 2009 – when the Jackrabbits host North Dakota State at Frost Arena – to raise shoes and money for children in the Caribbean and South America. Donations will be accepted starting on Oct.

Jacks blow past WIU Westerwinds
After the Jackrabbit volleyball victory over Oakland University two weekends ago, the Jacks were looking for their first winning streak of the year against Western Illinois on Oct.10. With a 3-1 victory over the Westerwinds, SDSU got the winning streak they were seeking and its first home Summit League victory.
SDSU women shoot for third place
The Jackrabbits finished third at the Aztec Classic hosted by San Diego State with sophomore Hillary Gerster finishing second individually. Gerster shot a combined score of 150 in the two-round event and was three shots behind North Dakota State’s Amanda Miller, who was the individual medalist.
Jacks faced top teams in nation
The South Dakota State men’s tennis team traveled to Louisville, Ky., last weekend to take on some of the top Division I programs in the nation. SDSU’s No. 1 Michael Engdahl put up a fight at the Louisville Invitational before losing to Rob West of Cleveland State in 3 sets, 3-6, 6-1 and 6-2.
Jacks get three of four most valuable honors
SDSU posted a 4-1 victory in equitation over fences and lost 3-2 in equitation on the flat to the Fresno State (Calif.) Bulldogs in the Jackrabbits’ first varsity equestrian head-to-head competition of the season. SDSU won the overall competition 13-7 over FSU on Oct.
