Separate ceremonies scheduled for Saturday
A total of 1,457 students completed requirements for graduation this year, and about 996 students will walk in two separate graduation ceremonies on May 3, according to University Relations. For the first time, the graduation commencement will be split into two separate ceremonies, one for undergraduates and the other for graduates.

Track races at Drake, Calif. and Janvrin open
While the rest of the SDSU athletics were cancelled due to inclement weather, the men’s and women’s track and field teams set relay records in the last day of competition at the Drake Relays on April 26 in Des Moines, Iowa. The team made up of Brandon Priebe, Andrew Duitsman, Nick Schanaman and Zach Wirth erased a 36-year-old record in the 4×110-meter shuttle hurdle relay.
Jacks football players sign on with two AFC West teams
Two former SDSU standouts signed as free agents with two AFC West Teams over the weekend. Former offensive lineman, Mitch Erickson, was signed by the Denver Broncos. The Hutchinson, Minn., native and fouryear starter has earned many awards, including the 2007 AFCA Football Championship Subdivision Coaches’ All-American Team.
SDSU ‘Field of Dreams’ lacks a few key features
