The Issue: The cost of attending SDSU will increase by a substantial amount for the 2008-09 school year. Our View: With the economy in a recession and the costs of everything going up, it would have been nice of the university and the Board of Regents to make these increasing costs to students more gradual.

Jacks earn four-game sweep in Neb.
The SDSU baseball team made its presence known in their first Summit League games, sweeping a four-game series against Centenary by scores of 6-5, 13-6, 8-1 and 7-1. The games were supposed to be the home opener for the Jacks and the first game at Heuther field, but the games were moved to Omaha due to poor weather.
We are returning with music
On April 9, the band We The Living will play in the Volstorff Ballroom at 8 p.m. We The Living was highlighted on perezhilton.com on March 25 because of their new song “Best Laid Plans.” Perez Hilton described the song as “a really pretty ballad” and “should be the theme song to the new ‘Beverly Hills, 90210′ spin-off.
Alumni of SDSU come together for fellowship
SDSU alumni had three opportunities to get together in the name of fellowship and supporting Jackrabbit basketball during the winter. On March 20 just before the first round of the Women’s National Invitational game against Creighton University, a group of alumni gathered to examine the campus and changes that have been going on.
