Going bald for a brother: AGR takes it all off to support friend

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz? This sound reverberated through the halls at the Alpha Gamma Rho house March 4 when nearly 30 members shaved their heads for another brother. “We just all talked about it, we all knew about it, so we just all did it,” said Micah Rupp, a senior animal science and agricultural business major.

The College Connoisseur: Talks about power hours

As an adamant fan of all things downtown, I have strong feelings about Skinner’s Pub new policy for 21st birthdays. Here’s an excerpt from the March 5 edition of The Collegian: Skinner’s Pub has recently implemented a new policy stating that they will no longer be accepting red IDs.

Johnston comes back for success

Editor’s note: UW-Green Bay Sports Information assisted with this story. Between April 25 and 26, 2007, SDSU head coach Aaron Johnston went through many changes and experienced a wide variety of emotions. On April 25, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Director of Athletes Ken Bothof announced the hiring of Johnston as the third head coach in the Phoenix’s 34-year women’s basketball history.

FACE-OFF: The Women’s basketball team shouldn’t practice against men?

I am sorry to say this, but I disagree with the Senior Contributing Writer, Mr. Kriens. After looking at both sides, I agree with NCAA’s Committee on Women’s Athletics side. While a little radical, I believe it is valid. The CWA, on more than one occasion, has tried to ban men from practicing with women in all sports.
