UMKC leadership gets the best of SDSU
The Jackrabbits men basketball team has gotten into a bad habit. They were given the opportunity to win a Summit League road game but unable to close the deal against the University of Missouri Kansas City Kangaroos and ended up in the cellar of Summit League with a 78-73 loss at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Mo.
SDSU women continue their domination of the Summit League
The SDSU women’s basketball team took one more giant step closer to making a return trip to the Women’s National Invitational Tournament by beating the UMKC Kangaroos 78-48 at the Kemper Arena in Kansas City, MO. With the win the Jacks are on the verge of having a 20 win season (19-6 overall).
New Jackrabbit unveiled
The new SDSU Jackrabbit logo design was unveiled at 10 a.m. on Feb. 19 at the Student Union on campus. “South Dakota State University is adapting to the world around it, and this contemporary mascot is a reflection of that environment,” said SDSU President David Chicoine.
