SDSU is about a month away from learning what the new logo will look like.
In December the logo committee recommended a final design to university administration, who approved the design shortly after. The artist who designed the logo is making a few final adjustments, and University Relations Director Jenny Crickard said the new logo will be revealed sometime in mid-February.
Crickard said she is happy with the new design. “It’s totally different from the original,” she said. “It’s a good design. Everyone on the committee is enthusiastic about it.”
Students’ Association President Alex Brown is also happy with the committee’s decision and is excited for the official unveiling. “The committee has been working for quite some time on this project,” he said, “and I believe it was worth the effort.”
The committee used surveys and focus groups made up of current students, alumni and the general public to help make the decision. “Their input was very valuable to the whole process,” said Brown.
