SDSU police criticized for infringing on students’ rights to peacefully assemble in public
I had to wonder about the tailgaters being arrested because I do believe that SDSU is all state public property and that any group has the right to assemble peacefully and that the cops really have no standing to chase people out of that area as long as they are not causing trouble so it appears that the cops were in the wrong to try to chase them out of the area. so why were they arrested if they were just standing and talking? Whose stupid idea was it to make some law to force people out of that area? According to your story it was the cops that antagonized the crowd to force a situation where peace was not maintained.
