Jacks defeat Texas State

In the Beef Bowl SDSU used a variety of weapons to beat Texas State 38-3, in front of a crowd of 14,920, the fifth largest crowd in SDSU history.

With SDSU leading 7-3, senior Jason Bonwell blocked a Texas State Punt at the 29-yard line. With momentum on their side, the Jacks used a Parker Douglass field-goal to go up 10-3. Texas allowed 38 un-answered points in the non-league game. The gridiron Jacks will take on Stefan F. Austin at the Hobo Day game on Sept. 29.
