UNI beats Jacks, in home opener.
The 12th annual Cereal Bowl saw SDSU host the fourth-ranked University of Northern Iowa Panthers, in SDSU’s home opener. The stands were packed as 10,844 fans watched a powerful offensive game from both teams. With just three seconds left on the clock in the first half, SDSU’s head football coach John Stiegelmeier used two consecutive timeouts to freeze UNI’s kicker Billy Hallgren.
