Jacks lose opener in quadruple overtime

The Jacks kicked off their football season with a loss August 30 against Western Illinois University at Hansen Field in Macomb, Ill.

SDSU’s Trevor Hohn returned a kick off to drive the Jacks toward the game-tying touchdown, scored by Chris Doblar off a 1-yard pass from Ryan Berry with 38 seconds left in regulation play. The final score was 29-26 after 4 overtimes, making it the longest football game in SDSU history. Check the September 5 issue of The Collegian for highlights.
