Letter to the Editor: Admendment C

When Ohio passed a similar constitutional amendment in 2004, women abused by their boyfriends could not file domestic violence charges, because the only relationship the state would recognize was between a husband and wife.

A NO vote on Amendment C would ensure that we don’t weaken South Dakota’s domestic violence laws, and that we will maintain protections for women against domestic abuse.
