Students’ Association to host Red Bull Contest

Jen Jungwirth

The Students’ Association will host the “Red Bull Paper Wings” airplane contest Wednesday, March 29 at the ROTC building from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Students will craft original paper airplanes judged on distance, airtime and aerobatics.

Red Bull sponsors the Paper Wings Contest on campuses throughout the country. This is SDSU’s first year participating in the competition.

Two Americans currently hold the world record for paper airplane dynamics. The owner of Red Bull began the Paper Wings contest to find individuals to break the current world record. The top three winners from 48 countries will meet in Salzburg, Austria, for the final competition.

The contest is open to anyone and local prizes will be awarded. For more information, contact Allie Burn at 612-695-4960.
