The SDSU Wrestling Team had its first of four consecutive home matches on Saturday Jan. 21. The team hosted Portland State and defeated the Vikings 28-18.
Leading the way for the Jacks were Cody Nehl, at 197 pounds, Jason Stripling, at 285 pounds and Marcus Waters, at 133 pounds. All of them pinned their opponents.
Other victorious Jacks were Nate Althoff at 165 pounds, Chad Herrboldt at 149 pounds and Derek Pimer at 141 pounds
The Jacks are now 4-6 on the season, and have three home matches later this week. The Jacks host Wyoming on Friday, Jan. 27, and Dakota Wesley in the afternoon. They host Air Force in the evening on Saturday, Jan. 28.
