Jacks hockey team puts on good show

It’s getting later into November and there still isn’t any snow on the ground. Usually snow is on the ground by Hobo Day, or it is at least freezing outside. It’s been really nice outside the last few weeks, which is really odd. By this time of year, kids are usually outside playing hockey.

Students’ Association President Ryan Brunner told the SA Senate about a revised facility plan for the proposed wellness and recreation center on campus at the meeting on Monday night. At their last meeting, the SA passed a resolution to send a recommendation for the building of the facilities, along with a request to raise the SDSU General Activity Fee (GAF) $1.

Approval sought for wellness center plan

A preliminary facility statement to construct a student wellness and recreation center is being sent by SDSU to the South Dakota Board of Regents and the South Dakota Legislature for approval. If the revised plan is approved, SDSU students will experience a per-credit increase of between $2 to $3 in the General Activity Fee (GAF).

SDSU hosts Jackrabbit Invitational

On Nov. 2, nearly 250 Future Farmers of America members from various high schools and middle schools in South Dakota participated in the Jackrabbit Invitational. SDSU hosts the event annually. The FFA members showed off their skills and projects to their peers, and displayed their knowledge and understanding of agriculture.

Do the Police Take It Too Far?

In one way or another, most students have run into the University Police Department, Brookings Police Department or any other type of police officer from their hometowns. But in that process, several questions may arise. Do they always do what’s legal? How far can they really take it? And how much does it really affect the students? The Actions So how do students react to how they are treated? A sophomore from Hansen Hall was caught in his room a few nights ago.
