More than luck will keep you out of jail

The football game. The parade. The activities. All three of these are heavily promoted each Hobo Day, but one element of the Hobo Day celebration is generally brushed under the rug — alcohol. Alcohol is a fundamental part of Hobo Day for many students, whether they are 21 or younger.

Old habits are hard to break

If there’s any one thing I’ve learned from college, it’s that procrastination is an art form. One that takes many years to perfect. Last year in my General Studies 143 class, the instructor asked me (one of the only sophomores) if students stop procrastinating as we climb the college ladder.

Jacks ‘horsing around’ in inaugural season

With SDSU’s move to Division I athletics, changes had to be made within the athletic department. One of those changes was the creation of a brand-new sport. SDSU is one of 22 institutions in Division I and II to offer equestrian as a varsity sport this season.

Former ‘Bachelor’ Entertains SDSU

SDSU students gathered in the Performing Arts Center on Oct. 12 to hear the musical stylings of The Bob Guiney Band. And it’s here. You Can’t Have a Present Without a Past The Hobo Day celebration can be traced back to 1907 with the origination of the “Nightshirt Parade.

Your own personal Jesus

“Your own personal Jesus.” Remember that song? Maybe you’ve heard it back in the day by Depeche Mode, or more recently by Johnny Cash, a version (which was pretty good). Anyway, did it ever make you think that in some way we all come up with our own personal Jesus? Humor me and try this for a minute while your reading this article.

Enrollment figures set new SDSU record highs
