Mayor addresses Students’ Association

Brookings Mayor Scott Munsterman met with the Students’ Association to summarize his recent state of the city address.

Munsterman said that Brookings needs to develop a 10 to 20 year zoning plan to accommodate housing for the growing SDSU student population.

In other SA news:

*SA President Ryan Brunner said that free discount savers cards will be distributed next fall to SDSU students for discounts at various Brookings locations.

*SA Vice President Tim Wrenn said there is discussion of keeping Java City in NFA 232 due to lack of space in the new student union.

*The Native American Club is hosting a picnic on May 1 at Hillcrest Park. The picnic is free and open to the public.
