Reader misunderstands columnist’s purpose


I’m writing in response to the critique given by Erin Dennis in regard to my column “First Strip Club Experience Leaves Painful Memories.” I appreciate that you took the time to read the Collegian and my column and a little healthy criticism is always nice.

However, the column was meant to be humorous and nothing else. It was not intended to be an in-depth study or a research piece. However, I would be interested to know what studies and research your generalizations are based upon.

I can assure you that I am far from innocent and certainly not ignorant to the fact that a stripping job can be dangerous and depressing in some instances.
