Little I events set to kick off
Students who are interested in showing and fitting livestock, or learning how to, should attend the Little International livestock drawing on Wednesday, Feb. 16 in Rotunda D. By participating in the 8 p.m. drawing, students register themselves for competition in the Little International agriculture exposition, held March 18 to 19.

We followed you and cheered for you season after season. First Moises Alou leaves us and now you. Doesn’t the number 13 mean anything to you? That’s how many years you were with us.
Shannon Schlagel presses on
Even though she is graduating, senior women’s basketball player, Shannon Schlagel, is not quite ready to leave. “SDSU says you can go anywhere from here, but I kind of like it here,” Schlagel said. The team has been successful all four years that Schlagel has participated in SDSU basketball.
Going anywhere while here
“You can go anywhere from here,” the SDSU television commercials advertise. Normally, these commercials feature SDSU graduates who have excelled in one way or another. But recent SDSU commercials feature current SDSU students. Mark Glissendorf, vice president of multimedia services at Lawrence and Schiller, is working on the sister campaign.
Online communication options considered
SDSU administrators are investigating ways to make online communication easier for students and instructors. SDSU has been looking into the online communication situation for six months. Mike Adelaine, chief info tech officer and director of AG Information Technology, said SDSU provided student e-mail accounts until two years ago.
Cash stolen in early Saturday caper
An early Saturday morning caper left the Doner Auditorium box office short on cash. An undisclosed amount of ticket sales money was stolen between midnight and 8 a.m., said SDSU Police Department detective Brett Spencer. Spencer said an officer received a call Saturday morning about the break-in.
Underage drinking debatable issue
Students under 21 drinking – it’s an event certainly not unheard of for SDSU students. But whether or not underage drinking is a problem depends on point of view. A 23-year-old senior civil engineering student doesn’t think the state of underage drinking is anything unusual.
Local fraternity is ‘professional’
Sigma Alpha Omega (SAO) is not your typical women’s fraternity. For starters, they are a professional fraternity rather than a social fraternity. So what distinguishes SAO as a professional fraternity, and not a social fraternity? According to SAO member Angela Kopriva, an athletic training and pre-physical therapy major, there are a couple of things.
SA approves constitution and bylaws
The Students’ Association approved the constitution and bylaws for ZAO, a religious organization for all students. The Students’ Association approved the DSUA budget of $710,000. The budget they approved is an increase from the original budget proposed, because the union hours will be extended to 12 a.
Dance Marathon to be held
The UPC is sponsoring the Fourth Annual Dance Marathon. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). This year’s theme is “Olympics.” The agenda includes dancing, ice-skating, food, music and attending the SDSU men’s basketball game.
