Mini Casio digi-cam

Jeremy Fugleberg

Looking for the last word in snapshot photography? The four megapixel Casio Exilim EX-Z40 is relatively expensive, but you get a lot for the cost.

It’ll run for days on its rechargeable battery, and its massive two-inch LCD screen on the back means you don’t have to squint at your photos.

The Z40 has a fast startup, a 3x zoom and a video mode with sound.

The Z40 does suffers from a case of barrel distortion -straight lines near the outside of the photo can appear slightly curved.

Overall it’s a good buy.
