Firefox 1.0 aims for Internet

Mozilla Firefox 1.0, Internet Explorer’s biggest browser competition, is brand new this week.

Why should you switch? Firefox has built-in protection against pop-ups, a customizable search bar, and tab browsing. That means you can switch between Websites without opening and closing boxes – a great help while researching for a paper.

The early test, or “beta” version, took on Internet Explorer’s browser domination, and actually brought I.E. down a peg or two in world usage.
