Is Sky Captain epic or just tragic?

The Plot: One-by-one, important scientists from around the world are disappearing.

Luckily, no one need fear because metro reporter Polly Perkins, played by Gwyneth Paltrow, is on the case and she will stop at nothing to unravel the mystery.

When New York is suddenly and viciously attacked by robots, Polly is joined by her old flame, the Sky Captain himself, played by Jude Law. Together they must find criminal mastermind Totenkopf and undermine his dastardly plot to destroy the world.

The Cons: Unfortunately, the leads don’t share much chemistry and aren’t likeable enough to completely overcome the simplicity of their characters. And after the initial revelation of the Totenkopf’s intense evil, the plot is simplistic, predictable and less than the epic film suggested by the movie’s visuals.
