While $450,000 to “renovate” Woodbine Cottage is totally astrinomical and outrageous, that’s not the worst part. The money is coming from STUDENT FEES. Since when is that an issue of the students, I would almost guarentee than less than 50% of the students have ever even been inside of the building. If the State Historical Society and the Brookings Historic Preservation Commission are so concerned about the building, let them pay for the renovation and build the president a new house that could be build at a much grander scale and at a price tag far less than $450,000. And most importantly, don’t make the students pay for it. Look at the crap students live in, 8 X 12 cells that we are charged $3500 a year for. When you do the math, the $450,000 doesn’t add up, is Clark Drew Construction Company seriously the cheapest SDSU could find?
