Davis tries to save Creighton game

Despite goalkeeper Jenn Davis saving 12 shots, the South Dakota State University women’s soccer team lost 2-0 to Creighton University Saturday night in Omaha. The Jackrabbits were out-shot on the night 36-7, including a 20-7 advantage in the first half.

Creighton broke a scoreless tie in the second half when Brooke Hesse scored off a corner kick from Emily Munn. The Bluejays got on the board again when Franny Hylock scored from 13 yards out.

Davis recorded 42 saves in the first three contests of the year.

SDSU, 0-3 on the season, will travel back to Omaha for the Diador Classic this weekend. The Jacks will be looking for their first Division I wictory as they take on George Washington. Start time is 5 p.m. Friday, at Creighton Soccer Field in Omaha.
