Super Wal-Mart poised to open in October

A Brookings Super Wal-Mart is currently under construction and will open at the end of October.

The supercenter will have an in-store grocery store, hair salon, portrait studio, First National Bank and vision center.

The new Wal-Mart will be open 24 hours a day, and is located one block west of the old building.

For those job seekers out there, that means a few more shifts out there. For those late night study goers, this means a place to take a break, get a bite to eat, grab some more note cards and get back to work, all in one stop.

“We’re after a one-stop shopping experience for our customers,” said store manager Dennis Tramp.

A local developer has purchased the old Wal-Mart building.
