Decisions on gay marriage should not be left to courts
Last November, Josh and I wrote about civil unions. Since that time, gay marriage has become the hot political topic. It has clearly replaced abortion as the “social wedge issue” of 2004. Gay marriage has emerged as a major issue because of several events in the news.

Passionately Disappointed With The Passion of the Christ
Perhaps you won’t believe this, but I am a Christian. I was born a Christian, raised a Christian and I continue to be a Christian. . That person, that Christian part of me, that was the one who found Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ so offensive. The film critic part of me found it to be a poorly executed film that bordered on a snuff film.

Cruisin’ the Streets of Brookings
Spend a few of your college years driving around the city of Brookings and you’re bound to notice a few things about the streets. For one: the dips. They seem to be everywhere. Their point? Students are a little shaky on their purpose, too. “At intersections they cause people to slow down,” offers freshman Kyle Nebelsick, an Agriculture Systems Technology major.
Senior Exhibits on Display
The Ritz Gallery in Grove Hall is featuring senior exhibits for four students this week. Anna Binger, James Grar, Adam Robinson and Dave Neimic all will have works displayed. The exhibit is titled Kerblam and will run through Friday. The showing includes prints and extensions.
Incubus not just for those crazy teens
When Incubus hit mainstream rock, I dug em’. Recent albums like Make Yourself and S.C.I.E.N.C.E proved that incubus is a talented band, capable of outshining their competition. Yet, like many bands, they were due to be knocked off their pedestal.
