Mistake about Smith’s Jersey films

Roamin_America@Hotmail.Com

After reading Nicolle Wiekamp’s article about having a movie fest I noticed a mistake. She said that Kevin Smith’s films follow a chronological order: Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and finally Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Sure those films came out in that order, but every Kevin Smith fan knows that Mallrats is a prequel to Clerks. For example, in Mallrats, when Jeremy London’s character, T.S., and Claire Forlani’s character, Brandi, end their relationship, it’s over the death of Julie Dwyer – the girl who had the died in the pool. In Clerks, when Dante and Randal leave the store to go to a funeral, they go to one that is for the very same Julie Dwyer that T.S. and Brandi are mourning. T.S. even mentions running into her at the video store the night before, which would logically make Mallrats not a sequel to Clerks, but a prequel. Just thought I would fill Nicolle in, so next time when they have another Jersey film’s fest her friends and her can watch them the way they were meant to be watched.
