Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake Outgores the Original

Dare I say it, but this is a remake that out-massacres the original. Now wait a minute,

The Old Song and Dance

Outside of the music, there seem to be two defining characteristics of a musical: action and exaggeration. Web editor gets away from desk and into the ring

While I highly enjoy mental stimulation, probably more than the average college student, I must admit that boxing with all its jabs, punches, hooks, upper-cuts and footwork effected the deepest portion of my soul. The SDSU Boxing Club isn’t all about kicking butt though.

The Appeal of the Field

When I was a young child, my autumn weekends smelled of guts. Sometime around dusk, a group of men, often including my father, would trudge up from the fields that spread just beyond our house, carrying gaggles of dead birds and a dog or cat trailing behind leaping for the carcasses.

There were a lot of things in last week’s issue that caused controversy. Our phone rang off the hook with comments about the article on homosexuality. Officials from as high up as the FBI were concerned about how our article on the USA PATRIOT Act would come out.

Backing the Jacks with no holds barred

The average fan at a Jacks game might bring a cowbell and stand for the school song. Many of them even wear yellow and blue sweatshirts and jackets. But then there are those other fans who are not just excited about the game — they’re crazy. Gus R. Loneman, a junior sociology major, is one of these hardcore fans.

Save Money on Groceries

Everyone needs to eat. It’s a basic necessity of life. The problem is that whatever little money is left over from tuition and books usually gets spent on rent, beer and crap from Wal-Mart that you
