General must define policy stances to win nomination

Last week, General Wesley Clark entered an already crowded field of contenders, becoming the tenth candidate for the nomination. The general’s entry spoiled one of my favorite political jokes (Q: Where can you find nine bigger losers than the Detroit Tigers? A: The Democrats running for president). More importantly, General Clark has greatly altered the competition.
