Tara Chambers isn’t really into this story. Or at least that’s how it seems. Bombarded with questions about school, her hobbies, her attitude towards leaving Sioux Falls, SDSU classes, Brookings activities (or the lack thereof) and how her parents reacted to her departure, she cops a classic teenage “well, whatever” attitude that betrays the oft-held parental notion of the tentative, uninitiated college freshman.

SDSU to move to Division I athletics in summer of 2004
The last cord that bound South Dakota State University athletics to the North Central Conference is now severed. On Aug. 15, SDSU forwarded letters to both the NCC and the National Collegiate Athletic Association announcing their intentions to leave the Division II NCC after the 2003-2004 season and move up to Division I.
Students share their roommate nightmares
So your roommate crawled into the wrong bed after the blacklight dance last Thursday night. But how do your scary roommate stories stack up to these stories? Sophomore Katherine Kesset came home to find her roommate sleeping naked after a dance last year. “I told her I probably wouldn’t be back after the dance, but my friend and I had a fight that night so I decided to go back to my room,” Kesset said.
