City manager earns credentials

Michael Williams, Brookings city manager, recently received the International City/County Management Association (ICMA)’s Credentialed Manager designation. Williams is one of only 435 local government management professionals to receive the accreditation.

To be credentialed by ICMA, a member must have experience as a senior management executive in local government, have earned a degree in public administration or a related field, and demonstrated a commitment to high standards of integrity and lifelong learning and professional development.
