Belatti joins Board of Regents as new member

As the Board of Regents sat down for its regular meeting in Vermillion last week, it welcomed a new member to its ranks. Dr. Richard Belatti of Madison was appointed to the South Dakota Board of Regents by Gov. Mike Rounds February 26. Belatti completes the term of Dave Gienapp, also of Madison, who resigned from the board after he was appointed a circuit court judge last April.

Erickson, Larson take reins of Students’ Association Senate

The South Dakota State Students’ Association gavel changed hands Monday evening as former President Dan Hansen swore in Eric Erickson to the 2003-2004 SA president’s term. Erickson immediately began presiding over his first senate. He called new senators to the table to deliver their oaths as well.

Board of Regents sends out college prep packets

The families of nearly 56,000 middle and high school students across South Dakota received a mailing earlier this month to remind them it is never too early to prepare for life after high school. The South Dakota Board of Regents sent out its South Dakota CollegePrep planning packet to all public school students in grades 7-12.

KSDJ management departs

The SDSU Jacks traveled the road to victory with pride and determination. The top-seed Jackrabbits hosted the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament and defended their home court. The championship game fittingly was between in-state rivals USD and SDSU, Monday night.
