Swimmers end season strong

The SDSU men’s and women’s teams got their conference meet off to a good start on Thursday at the North Central Conference meet in Grand Forks, N.D.

Sam Kezar placed eighth in the 3-meter diving competition, with a total score of 254.05 points for 11 dives.

Jake Berg finished 14th in the consolation finals of the 50-yard freestyle in 22..61 seconds.

On the women’s side, Camren Hillewaert got into finals for the 200 individual medley placing 14th with a time of 2:16.11. This time is .05 seconds from the school record she set last year at the NCC championships.

Going into conference this weekend, swim coach Brad Erickson wanted all of his athletes to finish with personal best times.
