Despite dissent, Hussein remains very dangerous

Tony Venhuizen

The possibility of a war with Iraq is dominating the political landscape of this country.

Over the weekend, millions of protesters throughout the world gathered to demonstrate against a possible war with Iraq. This is their right, and I believe that the leaders of the world should pay attention to the sentiments of the demonstrators and those in their favor.

At the same time, however, I believe it is equally important for our leaders, and for us, to be conscious of what appears to be a “silent majority.”

Although there is no such thing as a “Pro-War Rally,” polling shows that 65 percent of Americans favor a war against Iraq.
