Collegian does a good job
I am a regular reader of the Collegian, however, after a long time I came across a diversified issue of the Collegian (February 4, 2003), so I thought to pass on my compliments.
I pass on my compliments for not only the main page articles on sex, teaching, Wal-Mart and the National Guard but also the inner page articles containing sports, housing, lifestyle and arts and entertainment were interesting.
I observed that the headlines and pictures attracted many new readers and very few copies were left in the corridors.
The articles on housing and health insurance were carefully prepared with good homework and others, particularly on sex and teaching, needed more work and survey.
The online poll is interesting. However, the result has significance only when great numbers of students or readers participate and respond.
I went to attend “Can history help us understand the current crisis in Iraq” in the Pheasant room, USU 167 at 4:00 p.m. and found none there!
Later, I confirmed this event in the event calendar on page 11 of the Collegian, which said the calendar is for Jan. 22 through Jan. 28 (for the Feb. 4 issue).

“Dear Libby” is a treat
I have read a lot of the columns in the Collegian and the one I’m most impressed with is “Dear Libby.”
