Swimmers fall short against USD

SDSU’s men and women swimming teams competed against the University of South Dakota in a duel this last Saturday in Vermillion.

USD swam to a 102-87 victory in the men’s competition while they won with a score of 106-80 in the women’s.

There were several key swimmers for SDSU for both the men’s and women’s teams. Starting with the men’s team, Jake Berg claimed the 50-meter freestyle event with a time of 25.41 seconds, edging out USD swimmer Tyler Scheer by .02 seconds. Berg also swam the second leg of the 200-meter relay along with Jesse Peterson, Zach Olson and Sam Kezar which won with a time of 1:43.29.
