SDSU sinks UNO, 38-21

The SDSU Jackrabbit football team beat the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks 38-21 at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium Saturday night. In front of a Beef Bowl crowd of 7,581, the Jacks dominated the first half, drilling out 273 yards and scoring on each of their first four drives.

Volleyball team sits 14-1 after triple wins

South Dakota State’s volleyball team maintains its impressive record of 14-1 after winning three more games last week. Their first game of the week was last Wednesday at Southwest State in Marshall, Minn.

SA hears from Reger on campus Master Plan

Academic Vice President Mike Reger told Students’ Association senators about the SDSU Master Plan and its effect on future pedestrian and automotive traffic Monday night. Reger said that pedestrian safety is the greatest concern facing the planners of future campus facilities.

Brookings city council passes $9.2-million 2003 budget

Brookings City Council members passed a $9.2 million budget Monday at their regular action meeting. City Manager Mike Williams said the new budget suffered a two percent drop from last year’s due to insufficient city income. “For the last two years, most of the cuts [we've made were regarding personnel] and not replacing equipment,” he said.
