Good: Books for this semester: $375; Tuition for 12 credits: $1400; Cost of resume paper and and envelopes: $25; Knowing that next fall, you’re not going to be a poor schmuck who has to buy overpriced books and listen to over-inflated professors: PRICELESS.
Bad: Professors who don’t keep their office hours. Hey, if you aren’t going to be in your office at certain times, here’s a thought – DON’T POST THOSE HOURS ON YOUR DOOR. Some of us are real tired of having to come to your office over and over like some dog who hasn’t quite been beaten enough.
Good: Comedy night at the Pavilion. Nothing like laughing so hard that your bladder functions fail.
Bad: Professors who can’t seem to keep track of students’ grades. Folks, this is pretty basic. If you can’t handle a simple task like recording grades, perhaps you should seek a new profession. Like burger-flipper or toilet-scrubber, maybe.
Bad, or at least weird: Those flyers that say “Do you know Ben Solomon?” Better question: should we care whether or not we know Ben Solomon?
And the unattractive: There’s a mild theme running through this “Humble Opinion:” Professors. Sure, there are some good ones (seven, at last count). But the ones that suck kinda make you want to poke out your eyes with something sharp, don’t they? Or at least poke out the professors’ eyes.
